Our IDEATION CAMP is a creative retreat and a workout for your creativity muscles.
Regardless of the industry or content you are developing for, immersive media requires a new way of thinking about storytelling, user experience design, workflows and team skills. The journey from initial idea to finished experience is a process that will be marked by many iterations.
With the Ideation Camp, we take a step back. Together we develop initial ideas, work with creativity tools and include the most important elements of a promising UX development from the very beginning. Interdisciplinary, international networking and collaboration, knowledge transfer, UX design and user journey, immersive storytelling are the focus of our lab.
The 2-day online lab is aimed at all creatives, artists, entrepreneurs, producers, creative technologists, startups, SMEs and XR enthusiasts. The IDEATION CAMP is a perfect preparation for the subsequent PROTOTYPING LAB.
Participation is free of charge, places are limited. Participants of the Prototyping Lab get priority access.

MENTORS & EXPERTS
Astrid Kahmke
Head of the European Creators' Lab & Training Lead
Astrid works as consultant and curator for immersive arts. With a background as producer for international feature films and more than one decade of experience in training and talent coaching, her live revolves around storytelling and the future of narration. Astrid is a passionate networker and supporter of the European XR community. She started the European Creators' Lab in 2017 and since then is its head and training lead.

Alexander Herrmann
Alex has worked in Film and Media since over 20 years. After studies of MultiMediaArt and International Co-Production he worked at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg for the curation of interdisciplinary content developmet labs where he implemented Hackathons into the curriculum as early as 2013. His work as a producer and thinker brought him together with partners like RedBull, Universal London, Cern, LMU Munich, Goethe Institute and many others. 6 years ago he founded expanding focus GmbH, a XR and Games studio situated in Leipzig.
Mads Damsbo
Mads Damsbo is the founder and creative producer at Makropol, an innovative production studio based in Copenhagen. Mads focuses on developing unheard narratives, utilizing emerging technology, provoking unexpected emotions and experiences in diverse audiences. Schooled as a Producer from the progressive filmschool Super16 and with a bachelor in Media Directing from the Danish School of Media and Journalism, Mads has since become an expert on the production of immersive media narratives, giving lectures, organizing workshops and teaching masterclasses all around the world.
